What Backstage can't do yet

Backstage is for the quick jobs you do while you are away from a desk, or at the front desk on a phone or tablet. Some jobs are only in Atelier Studio on the web. Sign in there with the same account.

Limits to know

• No signal. Only check-ins work offline. Payments, refunds, registering, searching for students, reports, and class changes all need a connection.
• Your role decides. Backstage shows only what your role and permissions allow. Where it cannot, it tells you to ask your studio owner.
• Cannot create a studio or an account. Backstage is for people who already work at a studio on Atelier Studio.
• No Tap to Pay on an iPad. Apple does not offer it on iPad. On an iPad, you type in the card. Card readers, receipt printers, and a self check-in screen for customers are not part of Backstage.
• The sample studio is read mostly. In the sample studio you cannot take payments, send messages, or change the schedule.

Coming later

On More, some rows show a Soon tag: Point of sale, Assessments, Events, Support, and Recurring classes. They do not work yet. Until then, use the web for these.
